Frankfurt am Main, 12.10.2021 – The energy revolution, transformations in the automobile sector, and digitalisation - concepts with the potential to be ‘a big deal’. However, instead of chasing after these trends, it is important to recognise their potential early on. In short: to find companies that are pioneers and forerunners of megatrends. This is the central investment approach of the MainFirst Global Equities Unconstrained Fund, which is now celebrating its third anniversary. It has complemented the fund range of multi-investment boutique, MainFirst, since 2018, with its approach of unconstrained investment in future themes. “We are very pleased about this milestone in the history of the MainFirst Global Equities Unconstrained Fund and would like to thank our investors for placing their trust in us,” says Portfolio Manager Frank Schwarz.
Three years ago, the fund was launched as a theme-based global equity fund that follows a growth approach without any short-term hedging. The objective is to outperform the MSCI World Net Total Return EUR Index over the long term. In doing so, the globally invested equity fund is fully invested at all times. And the performance of the MainFirst Global Equities Unconstrained Fund is impressive. Since its launch three years ago, the experienced team consisting of Adrian Daniel, Frank Schwarz, Jan-Christoph Herbst and Johannes Schweinebraden has recorded an average performance of 26.47% per year (annualized performance).
With its theme-based approach, the MainFirst Global Equities Unconstrained Fund focuses on investment themes of the future such as digitalisation, internet platforms, semiconductors and renewable energies. The investment strategy is designed for the long term, with an investment horizon of over five years. When selecting stocks for the actively managed portfolio, the investment team favours companies with structural growth (growth approach). "We look for companies with high growth potential - future champions in whose development we participate," explains Frank Schwarz. This makes the fund suitable for investors who want to benefit without restriction from the progress of the structural growth themes of digitalisation, automation and decarbonisation on the equity markets.
The MainFirst Global Equities Unconstrained Fund is also an Article 8 classified investment fund under the European Sustainable Financial Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and has a dedicated ESG strategy.
